Native English Editor, Writer and Translator

I am a Canadian currently living in Ukraine. With 12 years combined experience living, studying, and working in Ukraine and Russia, I have gained wide exposure to these countries, their peoples, and the numerous facets of life and business in these former Soviet regions. I am a native English speaker with fluency in Russian and functional Ukrainian, and a 17-year history as a sole propietor.

A bit about me and my qualifications:

- Native English speaker (familiar with British and American English usage)
- Fluency in Russian, with functional Ukrainian
- Ample experience editing and writing different types of materials (e.g. scientific, technical, commercial, promotional, personal, news, website material, analytical pieces, reports, project and funding proposals)
- Written translation from Russian to English, with ability to correct mistakes in translation
- TESOL/ CELTA certification for Teaching English as a Foreign Language
- Extensive experience in project management at all stages, from idea, planning and inception through to implementation, reporting and monitoring
- Event management
- Substantial history working with not-for-profit organizations

Language services are offered with respect to many different types of materials, including academic/ scientific, technical, business, commercial, promotional, personal, news, press releases, website material, analytical pieces, reports, project and funding proposals, though involvement in other projects is possible. Language services are offered in English (native) and Russian.

In my background as a sole proprietor, I have gained 1½ decades of experience in providing professional language-based (writing, research, editing, translation, reporting) and project management services. With project experience gained primarily in Canada, Ukraine and Russia, activities have extended beyond this scope, also relating to the development of civil society and emerging markets in the former Soviet republics, as well as in various northern (Arctic and sub-Arctic) countries.

Project management experience has touched on such spheres as civil society development, humanitarian affairs, economic development, business affairs, and event management, including conferences, seminars, training sessions, and roundtables.

In terms of research or project management services, a wide and lengthy exposure to Canada, Ukraine and Russia and their many peoples, facets of life, as well as the business culture in these countries aids in ensuring the smooth facilitation of projects and contract-based assignments.
